Lorna Doone (left) is a full-on Basset Hound. She’s a tad dim, but she’s very affectionate. Otis Spunkmeyer (right) is a Basset Hound / Jack Russell Terrier mix, but everyone thinks he’s a Beagle. He’s very smart and playful.

They’re both rescues, Lorna was going to be taken by a shelter because her owner’s kid was severely allergic to her and we got Otis from the Rock County Humane Society. I’d highly recommend rescuing a dog from a shelter rather than spending ten to twenty times as much money at a breeder.
